The Hartnoll Hotel

The Hartnoll hosted a work event for us. Excellent facilities (private, clean, spacious), friendly staff and an amazing cream tea in the break. A great afternoon and a really nice evening meal for some of us who stayed on. Thank you.

My Daughter got married at the Hartnoll Hotel. Claire the wedding coordinator was absolutely amazing, she ensured everything ran like clockwork. Everything was set out perfectly, we had the ceremony outside, and the grounds made for beautiful wedding photos, the wedding breakfast was held inside. The food was absolutely amazing, served very efficiently, nothing was too much trouble, we were very well attend to. A lot of guests stayed overnight and the rooms were absolutely lovely and very comfortable. Would definitely go back for a meal

The Hartnoll hosted a business meeting for us. The service was excellent, the venue was everything we could have hoped for (and more) and the food was extremely good quality. We had a cream tea and despite us needing to change the time, the scones were still hot! Twenty of us stayed for a meal afterwards which was beautifully served and the food was excellent quality - well cooked and presented. We will definitely come again.

Our stay at the Hartnoll Hotel Spa was an absolute delight from start to finish. We were looking for a relaxing and peaceful escape, and this hotel exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. They made us feel right at home and were always available to help with any request. The service was impeccable, and their professionalism truly made a difference. The room was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable. It had a wonderful, cozy atmosphere, and we appreciated all the thoughtful details. We slept so well every night! The spa facilities were a definite highlight of our trip. The treatments were fantastic, and the therapists were highly skilled. It was the perfect place to unwind and recharge. The food at the hotel restaurant was simply outstanding. Every meal was a culinary experience, with delicious, high-quality dishes. We highly recommend dining there, even if you're not staying at the hotel. Overall, the Hartnoll Hotel Spa is a true gem. The beautiful surroundings, exceptional service, and first-class amenities make it the ideal destination for a relaxing break. We only had lunch here, but that was yummy ! A glass of bubbly for me as it was my birthday ! Thank you, The Hartnoll Hotel. Made it feel a bit special, which is difficult this close to Christmas. Tha food was lovely and the staff good

Outstanding Stay – Beautiful Setting and Exceptional Service We had a superb evening at this hotel and were truly impressed from start to finish. The grounds and the building itself are absolutely stunning, creating a wonderful first impression. We stayed in one of the Cosy Double rooms, which lived up to its name. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the thoughtful selection of refreshments—including hot chocolate, tea, coffee, and even Horlicks—was a lovely touch that made us feel right at home. Breakfast was equally impressive. Everything was fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavour. The quality and value for money were exceptional. If I had to mention one very minor detail, it would be that the full English breakfast didn’t include baked beans, which I personally missed—but this is hardly a complaint, just a small suggestion. A special mention to the lady on reception during the evening—she was absolutely lovely and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Overall, a fantastic experience that I would highly recommend. A lovely hotel just outside of town with immediate access to the country. We decided to have dinner there the night we arrived and the front of house team were warm and very friendly. The food was of a high standard. The cosy double room proved reasonably spacious and had a small ironing board. The only dislike was the bathroom light and fan which activate when you go into the bathroom and turn off a couple of minutes after you exit meaning if you want a tinkle in the middle of the night, your sleeping partner will be hit with both. Other than that, the mattress and pillows are comfortable and breakfast is good. The rest of the team are helpful, friendly and offer excellent local recommendations. They have a spa but if was already pretty much booked out when we asked for it. Next time!
